A theatrical production without properties is like going on a trip with no destination. Properties provide an actor with a reason for being and give the set a feeling of reality. I have been involved as "Properties Master/Manager" of "The Promise", an epic musical drama based on the life of Jesus Christ, since 1989. The Promise is owned by Promise Productions, Inc. of Glen Rose, Texas which produces Christian entertainment in the areas of theatre, music and education. Our show is currently played at The Texas Amphitheatre in Glen Rose, Texas and at the Will Rogers Theatre in Branson, Missouri. It also has the distinction of being the only religious play to perform at the Kremlin Palace Theatre in Moscow, Russia.
The amount of research which our staff does to ensure that any production is accurate is a testament to our dedication to our patrons. Many people from our audiences ask why I became involved with properties...but that's another story.
